eggroll recipes

Does anyone have any good, easy to do recipes for eggrolls? Do you have to buy the wrappers or do you make them out of flour?

You might be able to make them, but when we made them, we just used pre-made ones. Seems like it would be much easier. Anyway, we just put chicken, carrots, other veggies in it, folded, and fried. Try getting a mod to move this to Café Society.

I make eggrolls sometimes, and they are awesome! It just takes a little time. This is how I do it:
Pick up a bunch of veggies and a little pork or chicken. I usually buy snowpeas, bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage (bok choy? I can’t remember what kind I get), onions…whatever you want. Pick up a pack of eggroll wrappers too–they’re usually in the same section as the fresh ingredients. Chop up the big stuff, stirfry it all for a few minutes (I make the meat separately so I can use it in other stuff as well.) DON’T overcook, or they’ll get icky.
Fill each wrapper with a few tablespoons of the mix, roll 'em up, and seal by moistening the outer edge. Then fry in about 1/2 inch of hot oil for a few minutes, turning when they brown slightly.
Dip them in duck sauce, and enjoy.

Mmmm…I gotta go shopping tomorrow!

Best,
