El Chavo del 8 was a brilliant Mexican sitcom about an eight-year-old orphan (played by an adult) and his friends (also played by adults) and friends’ parents. I saw one episode recently on Televisa with my ex and I’m spellbound. The problem, though, is that I don’t get Televisa, and on DVD I can only find “Lo Mejor del Chavo del 8”, which is a long “highlight reel” showing half-episodes and snippets of episodes. I abhor the concept, but it appears that–these days, at least–one studio has the exclusive DVD rights to the show and only puts out these DVDs, not complete-episode ones. I want to buy complete episodes of the show. Can somebody help me find them?
