TV series you want to see in DVD format

With the success of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 and season 2 releases, as well as Friends and MAS*H and The Simpsons and so on, I think it’s been well established that DVD format can be a major money-maker for TV series. 24 is even doing a release of its first season on DVD, before the second season starts airing, to increase viewership. TV has caught on to the fact that if they release the good stuff on disc, we’ll snap it up. Now if only that will encourage them to make more good stuff…

Anyway, there are shows out there, some current, some long-neglected, that deserve the DVD treatment. And I mean the full-on, director and stars commentary, loaded with special features treatment. Here’s my list:
[ul]
[li]Cupid[/li][li]Northern Exposure[/li][li]You Bet Your Life[/li][li]The Burns and Allen Show[/li][li]The West Wing[/li][/ul]
What shows would you like to see issued in a fan-friendly, full-season DVD format?

Anything from the Thursday NBC line-up in the late 80’s!

Hill Street Blues

Babylon 5

Daria

The Paper Chase

I would definitely choose Soap if I only had one choice. Ones they’re more likely to do that I’ll look forward to are Seinfeld and Cheers.

“The West Wing” is available in the UK.

Blackadder, Liquid TV

I’d like to see a DVD release of Freaks and Geeks since I’ll probably never see it again.

The one and only season of “Undeclared”.

DARIA!!! <---- click me & help make it happen!

I plan on buying 24 when it comes out.
I’d buy Northern Exposure if it was available.

I just got a DVD player this past Christmas…what’s the going rate for a full TV series on DVD? How many discs would NE take?

You know, I bet there’s a veritable gold mine in DVD releases of series that never made it into syndication. After all, what are they doing with them? They’re sitting on a shelf someplace, making the production companies and participants no money at all.

Meanwhile, a VHS copy of Cupid, the complete series, just sold on EBay for over two hundred dollars.

Robin of Sherwood, from the 80’s. I think you can get it in the UK, but that’s no help to me here in Texas. If it was just region coding, no problem. But it’s PAL not NTSC. Curses!

Jonathan Creek would be nice too, and somebody needs to light a fire under MPI to increase the pace of their Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes DVDs.

Invader Zim

I would buy that DVD with MY IRON FIST!

In the same vein, Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

Futurama
St. Elsewhere
Grand
Moonlighting
Cheers
High Incident
CHiPS
The Incredible Hulk
Married with Children (mmm . . . Christina Applegate and Katey Sagal)
Growing Pains (Tracey Gold and Joanna Kerns . . . )

I’d like to see Sliders and Babylon 5.

Northern Exposure! I loved that show!

Red Dwarf

Nightmare Cafe. There was only about a half season of it, so they’d have room for plenty of extras, if they have any.

My $70 player will play PAL on NTSC TVs and vice versa, but the moronic region encoding is impossible to kill w/o a ROM programmer. Bah!

Murphy Brown, hands down!
