TV show DVD wish list

OK, Seinfeld and Friends have had their day. And most of the “adult Swim” stuff from CN is available. Anything offbeat you’d like to see released on DVD?My wish list: [ul]
[li]“F Troop”[/li][li]Comedy Central’s “Let’s Bowl”[/li][li]The Beatles cartoons[/li][li]Season sets of “MST3K” (C’mon, Rhino, do we have to sit up and beg?)[/li][/ul] I’ll post more as I think of them. How about it?

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.
Max Headroom
The Maxx
Mission: Impossible (original)
Doctor! Doctor!

As for the MST3K season sets: forget about ever seeing any of the Sandy Frank movies (Gamera, etc). After the brutal treatment by Joel, Mike, and the Bots, he vowed to never let them use his movies agian.

Big Blue Marble
Life on Earth

Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.

“Amos ‘n’ Andy”
“The FBI”
“The Invaders”
“The [original] Fugitive”
“Hawaii Five-O”

(What is it with the dearth of Quinn Martin DVDs?)

I will second:
The Invaders and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. and add
Dinosaurs by Disney. The one about the Sinclair family with the baby calling the dad “Not-the-Momma”.
Remember?

Old Nickolodeon shows, especially You Can’t Do That on Television.

I was surprised to discover Space, Above and Beyond isn’t on DVD. It might get released this year though, ten years after it’s original airing.

An Australian comedy called The Games. They only did two series (seasons), and I’ve got series 1 already.

I’ll see you *The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. * and raise you The Real Ghostbusters.

TV Funhouse, mainly the Comedy Central shows, but I’d also like the SNL cartoons.

There was a TV special called The Television Show that orginally aired in the late seventies/early eighties by the makers of This Is Spinal Tap that not only included an early Tap appearance (as a kind of glam rock band) but also a bunch of other hilarious sketches. I saw it on TV Land a few years ago.

Sorry, according to IMDB it was called The T.V. Show

CODCO. Smarter than Kids in the Hall, and in the first few years, much funnier. All six seasons should be on DVD by now, dammit!

I’d like to see Dawn French’s Murder Most Horrid again. Uneven, but often delicious.

Why the hell aren’t Harry Enfield’s Television Programme and Harry Enfield and Chums out on DVD yet? I demand satisfaction!

Likewise A Bit of Fry and Laurie. And The New Statesman. And Spitting Image.

Worzel Gummidge and Worzel Gummidge Down Under.

Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.

Please!

Oh, excellent choice. The episode with Amanda Donohoe as the assassin is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

Right before he hits him over the head with the frying pan. Seconded.

I’ll add Gargoyles to the list. The first season is out, and I think the second season is supposed to be released sometime soon, but I’d love to be able to buy the entire series, especially the last season.

How about the 60’s “Fantastic Four” cartoon? The 90’s cartoon is being released in conjunction with the movie’s release. Release the orginal and they can throw in that lame “Thing” solo cartoon, which contained the classic line “Thing ring, do your thing!,” as a bonus.

Police Squad!, dammit!

Oh, and an American (United Statesian) release of the old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon, if you can.

And as longas I’m dreaming, how about a deluxe edition of the Mighty Orbots cartoon as well? That gorgeous TMS animation should not be allowed to languish in obscurity…

Spoon!

WKRP in Cincinnati (or is that not “offbeat” enough for the OP?)

I’m aware that there are issues with music licensing. However, if there is a significant demand (which I believe to be the case), then it’s a failure of the “supply vs demand” market, and the whole licensing process needs to be rethought. The creation and release of DVDs of already-produced material is a huge profit generator for everyone holding the copyrights, so it’s really stupid that they can’t get their respective acts together.
