Dang it, I had chips today.
Oh no! That info is on the interwebs!
CNN: Trump wins WV. Still no surprises.
23 to 3 now.
GA not looking great to me, assuming what is being reported is early vote. Rural counties even more red than 2020 and swing counties looking softer for Harris. Randolph County flipped with ~60% in.
I would say that unless Election Day votes are stronger than usual Georgia will flip to Trump. But I’m not a great prognosticator.
It’s disconcerting that the wingnut states are coming in first. Now we’ve got 23 EVs for Trump vs 3 for Harris!
Only 8% of the vote in right now and nothing from the big counties.
It happens every 4 years. The small states where noone lives are easy to call. Let’s not concede the election just yet.
Senate 40 r to 29 d.
Sound like we might have North Carolina soon
Yeah. Why is that? Why can’t every state in Eastern time close at the same time?
Rhetorical question. I know the answer, but dammit, I want to hear from some less-wingnut states.
John King on CNN just said, “we have a very, very, very long way to go.”
Yep, he inserted three "very"s.
mmm
WV’s Senate seat has flipped to the GOP. Not that we’ll notice the difference.
I’m basing it on county-to-county comparisons with 2020, not overall numbers. I don’t see anywhere other than maybe Douglas where Harris is doing better than Biden did. Most places it’s worse.
Now maybe turnout will save her or the election-day voting will be less GOP-heavy than in the past. We shall see.
The only reporting that has disturbed me a little so far is Arizona. I had hopes the Dems would be more competitive there, but evidently not.
The trouble is that the less wingnut states will be closer and cannot be called till much later. Probably NY will be one of the first.
Harris leading in NC, which is a good sign, but only 2% reporting.
Trump is winning in Miami-Dade County with 73% of the vote in. At this point I think Texas might be closer than Florida will be.
I wonder if it’s possible that magachud migration to Das Floridareich will hurt them in purple states.
Trump also got West Virginia (in addition to Kentucky and Indiana).
These commercial breaks on the CNN stream are reminding me why I cancelled by cable subscription and never rawdog the web without my adblockers on. These ads are insipid and banal.
