I just recently heard of Coda Automotive. They are selling an electric car, apparently. I hadn’t ever heard of them until now. Anyone have any experience with the Coda electric car? What can you tell me about it?

Really? No one has any experience with Coda?
There appear to be 4 Coda dealers in California and they are offering test drives.
The car itself looks like a standard imported econobox, at least from the pictures.

Well it is new. It is manufactured in China with batteries by Lishen and has been selling only in California and there for only two months. While they are planning a second model sales so far have been “a low number.” Give it some time.
That said I think that it will be hard for them to develop a following. Assuming the interest in going gas-free, why go with a new name made in China when you can go with a Nissan Leaf, a Tesla S if you want to drop more change and need the room, or either a Volt or a plug-in Prius if you care that much about range anxiety?
