EVs with Q chaser

I’ve noticed a minor trend in car names. That is, electric vehicles whose names end in Q. So far, only 4 examples:

Škoda Enyaq
Hyundai Ioniq (which could be either a hybrid or full EV)
Cadillac Lyriq (introduction delayed by epidemic)
Cadillac Cellestiq (ultra luxury car that won’t be out until 2023)

OK, that’s not much of a trend, but I can’t think of any previous production cars with names that end in Q. Well, maybe there’s some alphabet-soup-type name that does, but those don’t count.

My guess is that having a new type of drive train brings out the imagination in car marketeers and the result is unorthodox names. Like the Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace. Don’t be surprised if Cadillac changes the spelling to Cadillaq for those two models.

Golly, peeps will get confused!

There are new drugs on the market that end in “q.”

I can see someone functioning on only one cup of coffee: “Do I swallow this one, and drive that one?”

Do I drive the red car or the blue car?
