Electric window in Dodge Drango. Automatic when it feels like it.

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango. The windows are, of course, electric. Now, there is apparently some sort of way to adjust or manipulate the window to go all of the way down with just a short touch on the button. Apparently, there is also a way to have the window go down by increments, by just a short touch of a button.
My problem, is that when I want it to go down by increments, it goes down all the way with the same mystical quick touch.
I don’t recall having changed any settings, and I want to be able to control it, rather than have it choose which of these it does.
I don’t have the owner manual, but, I did for my Chrysler Sebring. It did the same thing, btw, in spite of my following the manual’s directions.
Can you help me change this?
Thanks,
hh

In the last two cars I’ve had, pushing the button all the way down or all the way up is what causes it to go all the way down or all the way up. If you want it to go up or down in increments, you have to push the button lightly.

I’ll give it a try! Thanks.

You’ll want to use a lighter touch on your **ENTER **key too! (IOW don’t hit it at the end of every sentence)…

He didn’t. I count four sentences in the first paragraph alone.

In my car, if you push the button down briefly, the window goes all the way down on its own. If you want to stop part way, you hold the button down longer and when you let go, the window stops. There’s no way to lower the window a tiny amount without first lowering it further, then raising it to the point you want.
