I have a friend who’s a recent immigrant. She plays classical piano but has had little exposure to jazz (I guess she didn’t hear much of it growing up in Ukraine). A few months ago I put on an Ellington CD collection at a party which really stirred her interest - it turns out she really likes Ellington, although she had never heard of him before that night.
I’m thinking of getting her some sheet music of Ellington compositions for piano. There are a lot of choices, so I’m looking for help (especially since I’m not a pianist myself). I found a collection that looks promising:
