Can someone tell me of a simple to use email provider: I’ve had it with yahoo and google;
Do you have comcast, by chance? They have e-mail. My husband uses them and doesn’t complain to me about it, which he would do if he hated it.
Are you looking for one that doesn’t require a password?
There is “Hotmail” that is run by Microsoft. I’ve never used it since Yahoo suits our needs.
Perhaps we could offer better suggestions if you tell us what you dislike about Yahoo and Google.
Hotmail was replaced by/upgraded to Outlook.com. I believe the interface looks very much like the desktop software version of Outlook, so if you’re familiar with and like that, you might like Outlook.com
But in general, it might help if you explained what you’re not liking about Yahoo Mail and Gmail.
My Internet provider also gives me an email address (which I have never looked at, so I don’t know how easy it is). I use the address from my former employer.
try GMXmail
I use runbox.com. It’s not free, but I NEVER get spam and the customer service is terrific.
I’m curious as to what bearing the title has on the thread content. OP?
I would advise against using your ISPs e-mail. If you move and/or switch ISPs, you have to give up your e-mail address.
I’ll echo the question to the original poster, what is wrong with Gmail? It works great, I almost never see spam, and I can access all my e-mail from anywhere I can get on the Internet.
AOL is good.
In the case of gmail… If you don’t mind being bombarded with ads related to whatever little bit of your online window shopping (for weeks and weeks), or that they try to get you to join a bizarre list of social stuff, and that have made the interface so heavily java scripted, etc etc. It used to be so good.
I’m looking for one that doesn’t make me jump through a jillion hoops to change a passwordl
What is the issue that you are having? Based on the following, it doesn’t look like it’s very complicated to change your g-mail password: Change or reset your password - Computer - Gmail Help
With hotmail, it’s easy to change your password, you just go to the password change page and enter your old password and then the new one 2x.
Do you have security concerns?
Why is this such a big deal? If you move your mailing address changes, and until recently most likely your phone number. It’s no harder to notify people of a new email address than it is a physical address. I’ve been through at least five email changes, and have never suffered in the least because of it.
Mail.com
It’s free, secure and quite basic.
I agree that trying to change a yahoo.com password is an excersise in frustration. Gmail I found easy though.
None; I forgot to us the word ‘easy’ in the title. I apologize for that.
