Employers Are Assholes!!!!!!

Carlin…LMAO…thanks, I needed that!!!

That IS funny…in a tongue-in-cheek way…

Furthering the thought; Self-Employment is the ultimate test in survival…It will separate assholes and jerks from the innovative and self-determined. Employers and employees alike.

Being on both sides of the fence, I can appreciate your rant Venus; the DM not returning your call when they said they would, but that should give you a clue to not become an employee of that company…there are better companies out there who would do the right thing (or do what they said they were going to do).

Agreed. Thanks for your reply.

Well, I don’t subscribe to this theory (but many do) - when you secure employment just take it out on subordinates as then you will have power over them and can shit on them.

Nice effort to get a laugh, but not my style, thanks.

When I graduated from college, I went to a job interview 400 miles away (teaching). It was my first one and I probably sucked at interviewing. Wait, I know I sucked at interviewing.

The interview lasted until 4:00. I then stayed overnight and the next night to explore the area. Two days later, I got home…
and the rejection letter was in my mailbox! They must have sent it seconds after my interview.

At least they sent one…

That’s probably also true. There are probably as many reasons they don’t contact you for rejection as there are reasons they rejected you.

I remember a call I got. They asked me if I could start Monday? I said sure!!! He told me I was their second choice, the first choice guy started and didn’t fit in :dubious:

So yeah, I see your point.

That doesn’t make any sense. Why would the fact that they sent you a rejection letter preclude them making you an offer?

Actually, it was first attributed to Samuel Goldwyn, one of the founders of MGM Studios. It was funnier when he said it, because he wasn’t trying to be ironic.

Well, like someone said, some people get pissed I guess, I dunno.
Me?, I would rather be told I am rejected and get a pleasant surprise down the road with a job offer. If I am already gainfully employed, I feel my effort was fruitful and I might feel more confident in future prospects, and the bridge isnt “burned”. If I need the job, well, I accept because they were considerate enough to communicate with me.:dubious:
