I know that over time we’ve been given other features to use that we haven’t abused (like edit and the polling function) and I was just curious if it would be possible to turn on the calendar. I think it could be a fun way to keep up with various Doper special occasions, like birthdays and weddings, etc. and Dopefests.
Is there any chance we’ll have this down the road? Or maybe soon?

There are many features that I would like to see on this board, and I hope we can introduce some with our next upgrade, whenever that is. But frankly, Calendar is not one of the higher priorities. Right now the server config is just about adequate for our primary need - keeping this board up and running smooth. We haven’t had any server issues of late. The CR tech staff resources are very limited, so they’d rather not enable anything that increases the load on the servers.
Part of the reason I took up this gig again was to try and help out with the tech side of things. We have recently implemented some new anti-spam features, and it seems to be working well.
I will continue to push for improvements, but it will take time.
