Encyclopedia Speaker

Is the ‘encyclopedia syndrome’ as my friend puts it, a bad thing? I like pointing out the unobvious to start a discussion, in which I usually am forced to bring my small arsenal of facts and knowlege to bear. She says I sound like an encyclopedia (wait, they don’t sound like anything has already been done) whenever I do this, and it’s a real turn-off. Is it a bad thing?

Come on! One day and halfway down page 3! Come on, I need your input.

I myself, being an infinite fountain of worthless knowledge can relate. I have never been accused, however, of sounding like an encyclopedia. I usually just get the dirty looks and the “Smart Ass” comments. Boy, ain’t it great?
