Engineering Abbrv's in Want-Ads

Perhaps a fellow engineer can tell me what:

a) MEP Engineering experience is? “ME” is most likely mechanical engineering, but what is “P”? Process?

b) Also, what is “MEP&S”?

c) What is “SE”? This was in reference to a Civil Engineering firm…is this Structural Engineer, I WAG?

This ad-lingo sux! I work in the field, but perhaps the HR depts have decided to get more creative with their abbr’vs?

TTFN, Jinx :smiley:

These come from Construction Engineering firms.

MEP = Mechanical Electrical Plumbing.

MEP&S = Mechanical Electrical Plumbing & Structural.

SE = Structural Engineering

Thanks, Haj…that would explain it! - Jinx
