English as a Foreign language schools...advice?

So I am seriously considering doing this sometime in the fall. It’s a training program to teach English as a foreign language, $2150 for room/board and tuition in Barcelona, they guaruntee placement in Eastern Europe and offer lifetime assistance in job placement world-wide. Anyone have any imput?

Yeah, I’ve got some “imput” for ya, Swiddles. Try to skip the spelling errors in your application letter :stuck_out_tongue:

Clog boy, I’m off caffeine. You’re treading on dangerous ground here… :stuck_out_tongue:

If you’re in a big city you can probably find a TEFL course cheaper than that. I wouldn’t put too much stock in the “guaranteed placement in Eastern Europe” bit - a TEFL certificate from any school will guarantee you placement in Eastern Europe. In fact, merely speaking English can get you a TEFL job in many parts of the region.

However, just for the fact that it’s in Barcelona, I’d say go for it.

Find out about the Internet access in Barcelona. I mean, come on – no Straight Dope? Unthinkable!
