English group - 80's 90's - reggae accent - "Ticket... got a ticket" lyric - What group?

My Google-Fu skillz failing me. Who is this. IIRC “Chinatown” was another of their songs.

Part of lyric was “ticket… got a ticket” then something… something “going to wicket” or maybe “nick it”

The only two songs I’m aware of released within the dates specified in the OP and named Chinatown are by Jets To Brazil, a little known American rock band started by former Jawbreaker frontman Blake Schwarzenbach that recorded 3 albums between 1998 and 2002 (when they disbanded) and The Reivers, a straight-up pop band from Austin, TX.

I did find a UK artist who also recorded a song by that name way back in like 1980: Judy Tzuke. It’s actually a pretty good tune, but not exactly conjuring up reggae images for me YMMV.

That said, I know the song we’re searching for isn’t Chinatown, but I thought it might be easier to find the artist who recorded that song and then work from a smaller pool to find the answer to the OP.

More info would help this search along: male or female vocalist? Horns? Did you hear it back in the 80s or 90s or do you just know that was when the artist was active?

In the background of the song the refrain repeated “You are not Captain Danger”.

In another song there was the lyric "“beat up on his woman with a with a vacuum cleaner”

Re reggae I should be clearer when I say reggae I don’t mean the song itself I mean the singer has a Jamaican (I think) accent.

There were a pretty popular group, I must be mangling my google inputs terribly not to get a hit.

Finally got it. Thanks for your help!

And yours!
