Thanks for the link. I never did see Zevon’s final appearance on the show, so I sat down and watched that part of it this morning. It kind of hits home because I have had a couple of family members who have made the same “tactical error” of not seeing a doctor for too long.

This would be all of Zevon’s appearances as a guest, right? Because didn’t he fill in for Paul Shaffer for several weeks while Shaffer was off working in the Blues Brothers sequel?

Zevon said Dave was the best thing that ever happened for his music. I think Linda Rondstadt might be even more important.
