Enterprise, 2nd episode and I'm losing interest

Finally saw “unexpected” this weekend, and once again next weeks episode will be at a different time, thank you WB11!. Now, nice to see the Klingons had a smaller D7 ship (d1?), with the exact same design. And the Klingons are bad klingons, with the “bring me the captain and execute the crew” line. Maybe we will see that captain again, like we were supposed to with Kor. Is it just me or do the Klingons have a different symbol for the Klingon Empire? And where is Future Guy? We all know he’s Wesley, right?

(S)He’s Diana Troi, Dude.
“I sense somethin’, Mon!”

Future dude? You won’t see him again until sweeps. I guarantee it.

Which is completely stupid. If the writers and producers had any sense, we’d have had at least one scene from the Suliban in every episode.

Instead, we have the traditional Star Trek episodic series, where it doesn’t matter if you’ve missed the past 6 shows, you’ll still know exactly what’s going on.

I’m officially not watching the show anymore. Somebody tell me when it approaches a modicum of decent viewing entertainment…

drgonzo - you’re right; a knee-jerk reaction and I needed to be more patient. So now Hoshi doesn’t have any lines except “yes sir.” Hey, Berman and Brannon have been at this for awhile, yes? Why does it take 3 - 4 episodes to flesh out one or two characters and inject some suspense and a little levity? But it is getting better. Still hate T’pol.
Agree with someone re Archer needing to be more authoritative; he’s too laid back. (But Archer in his underwear and nekkid in the shower – more of that please.)

BTW - we need to start another thread after this Wednesday’s episode; this one’s too long.

You got it.

The actor, John Winston, is English. I’ve seen references (perhaps in the DC comic) to Kyle being Australian. This rabid fan makes a case for Kyle’s being Scottish. This is supported by the fact that James (Canadian) Doohan did double-duty on the animated Trek, voicing Scotty and Kyle.

And he was the helmsman once in a while too.
