I guess it’s a compliment, but anonymous mash notes on the web are half a step above “for a good time call” scribblings in public restrooms. And since Livejournal is somewhere I never visit, and I never would have known if you hadn’t mentioned it, it’s like a restroom graffito at a truck stop in Winnipeg, for as much as it impacts me.

What is up with that hook? Its attached to a retractable stick. And thats it. How is that supposed to be stable? Why not have them just fold out of the hull so it doesn’t look like it could snap off at any moment?

Okay, did a marathon session tonight. I watched all the tapes you’ve sent me since I’ve moved here in the past eight hours and I’m now caught up. (Yeah, I know I’m like a month behind but I misplaced the tapes and just found them today). Maybe I’m just easy to please… I don’t know, but I’m really liking the current arch although they could definitely improve in some areas. Hell, I’m even looking forward to *this * episode after seeing the teaser for it.

Haven’t read Koenig’s biography. I read Takai’s, which was pretty cool. I also met him, and saw him in the bathroom later that day. Also read Shatner’s, but not Nimoy’s. Did Doohan write one? I bet he has some cool stories from WW2
Am I the only one that thought of “Pulp Fiction”? When Trip was telling Reed about how all the Vulcu-Pressure treatments were no big deal, not sexual or anything, and Reed suckered him in with the “I’ve got a little pain right here”, it was a direct parallel of the Sam Jackson/John Travolta chat about foot massages. Overall, I enjoyed the episode…Timmy
Yeah, Doohan wrote one… Peter David was his ghostwriter. Pretty good book, overall. I’ve yet to read Takei’s or Nimoy’s bios and I wish Kelly had written one before he died.
When do you expect the TNG autobiographies to start? I say give them another decade.

I’m fairly used to Treknobabble, but this one gets a little old after a while.
I must protest, sir! Data’s off switch was clearly in the small of his back, nowhere near his rectum. (And since he doesn’t digest food, we don’t even know if Data has a rectum. Although I suppose he’d need one in order to be “fully functional” with male crew members.)
I never actually thought Data being “fully functional” other than it meaning he could stand at attention. Now though, I’m curious.
Does the term fully functional include various bodily expulsions? Can he vomit? Urinate? Defecate? Ejaculate?*

Have you folks been to these conventions? I’ve been to the Trek ones and a Trek/B5/X files one. I’ve seen all the VOY cast except Mulgrew; saw half the DS9 cast; saw several TNG cast members; and Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley together.
