Enterprise: Regeneration spoilers

So, how much am I going to hate this episode?

Okay, fine… now explain away the appearance of the exploded Wolf 359 Alpha Quadrant drones on that planet in the Delta quadrant…

Aesiron: Folk’s major problem seems to be with continuity. I don’t have a problem with it. Archer becomes more Captain-like, although Mrs. Plant complains that he yells all the time now. I respectfully disagree with my Spouse/Trek Expert.

It has definite good points, but seems a little weak.

I like the beat, it’s easy to dance to. I give it a 74

Oh, and if you accuse me of thinking “three dimensionally”, I’m calling Shenanigans!

Didya notice that Quantum wasn’t all chummy with Tripp?

He took “I’m afwaid of wah-wer!” Malcolm.

I’ll watch it, of course. But don’t expect me to like it.

I haven’t been this annoyed since the Klingons in “Broken Bow” had brow ridges.

The doctor being tried on Law & Order is the same guy that was a minister in one of last year’s episodes.

Talk about continuity problems!

/me has lust reawakend for Borg Queen until reliving that scene when her spinal column is waving about phallicly

confused, then The Who play new Springfield, and John Entwhistle isn’t even dead.

Phlox figures out how to unengineer “nanowhatchits” after being infected… I wish… John Bohnam, Keith Moon, why why why ? ? ? ? ?

That’s a joke, right?

No. I don’t get up in arms over small continuity errors but when you either forget or ignore something like the Klingons not having brow ridges until the movies, it gets highly aggravating.

It’s makeup.

How do you feel about the Andorians not being blue?

You will apparently really dislike the Tellarites. (sp).

:::BAMF:::

[Dammit! How many walls are there in this freakin’ place?!]

Uh, when did the Andorians become a different color?

And I’m fine with minor cosmetic touchups like the Tellarites and the Andorians. TOS’ special effects are nothing compared to todays so if they’re going to revisit these same species, by all means… try and improve them but keep their basic look intact.

You think we are not smart.

We are smart.

We look for things.

We look for things to make us go.

This was the best episode yet. I actually liked it. But I’ve always had a weakness for Borg episodes in other Treks. The continuity issue is bothersome, but any way they resolved it might have been worse. I envisioned a voiceover by Q as he waved his magic hands and said: “You don’t need to know this yet”.

There was the normal stupidity, of course, but probably no worse than usual. Yeah, let’s leave these guys here in the open in Sick Bay even though we know they’ve hijacked the bodies of several Earthlings as well as the entire crew of the allien ship.

So how about this: The Borg on the Enterprise adapted to the new phasers while the ones on the other ship remained unadapted. Huh??? Also, it took multiple phaser hits for them to adapt. Isn’t one supposed to be enough?

I was hoping Hoshi would get a few nanoprobes to spice up her personality a bit.

Still, I would say this is the only episode I could say that I actually liked so far.

And next week-- I was wondering when T’boobs would get the seven year itch!

You want to hurt Hoshi?! You bastard! Say it again… I dare you! Just give me an excuse to use this phaser-cutting-phaser!

… and violate yet another item of Star Trek continuity, because the ST:TOS episode “Amok Time” makes it pretty clear that humans had no inkling about Ponn Farr before Spock told Kirk about it in the 23rd century.

How much you wanna bet that Enterprise meets up w/ Romulans at some point, violating yet again the Continuity Prime Directive.

They already have… how’s that violating continuity? Earth and Romulus had a four year war that the Rihannsu lost, remember? That’s what set up the original Neutral Zone.
