Enterprise Stratagem spoilers

I believe we all agreed in an earlier thread that I am the youngest and therefore most attractive trek doper.
GI Joes? I only know about them from 90’s sitcomes when people said “Does anyone remember GI Joe?”

Oh and it looks like I’m going to miss the episode tonight, so NCB throw some extra stunning detail and plentiful literary devices into your weekly Ent play by play synopsis. That way I’ll get all the exctiment of watching a episode without having to waste an hour of my life.

Sitcom!? Have you Canadians ***no ** * culture?!

I thought she said “sitcomes”? You know, where you sit and … never mind.

Wait, what? Wearia’s a chick? When did that happen?

Nope still a dude. At least I was the last time I went to the bathroom.
I do agree thought Wearia is kinda a girly handle. For some reason it reminds me of Tiara.

I must have been thinking of the Wearia in the Mirror Universe. It’s the goatee that throws me every time!

Well, now I’m All confused!

Did you see a rather Large White Rabbit just come through here? Why yes! And a male-female schism developed, a situation that hasn’t been seen since Queen-to-Queen’s-Level-3. You mustn’t stop me. He’s my lover and I have to kill him! Oh very well then, but why can’t I blow off just one of his ears?! What? It’s not the ears you’re referring to? I never should have reconnected the mouth or brain. {administers Vulcan Nerve Pinch to self} AHHHHhhhhhh… {thunk}

Whoa! When i was six, i remember staying up until midnight on New years eve for the Star Trek marathon that the independent station put on. but that was in the 80s

Show’s on!
Teaser:

A fairly good opening sequence with a small space fight and a fairly good explination setup about the insectoid prison. You can tell that the Insect Xindi aren’t much liked by the other 'noids of Xindi from several other eps. This is a set up for what I feel will be a season ending cliff hanger involving Quantum getting the Bugs on his side somehow. You watch!

Anyways, the opening sequence works, I want to know what happened. Though it looks like a standard Bergama reset button plot, we already know from the spoilers in StarTrek.com’s synopsis of this ep!

Act I:

Paranoia will destroy ya!

Seed doubts and suspician about the Xindi species most unlike the humanoid. Good idear, Bubba!

The blood worm wasn’t near as gross as I was hoping.

Quantum’s backstory is pretty convincing.

A bug rebellion! It’s what we all fear…

Xindi War Council was originally set up to find a new Xindi home world after theirs was destroyed. Huh? Destroyed by who? SFG said it was a future act by Hoomahns that did that, didn’t he? Well?!?!

Quantum’s head scar looks pretty nice.

Good! Flight simulator, not holodeck. I was about to bugger someone good.

This kind of makes me mad now. TPTB didn’t have to spoil it for us! Here’s what my TV schedule had to say:

Act II:

It’s seemed ludicrusly easy to capture that ship.

Hoshi plays an important, though very small, part in the whole scheme.

“And Torture!” Phlox is enjoying it.

The set up seems a little stilted and forced. Who actually thought up the ruse? Quantum? Tripp? A brainstorming session of all of them*?

*which we finally saw

T’Pol is actually a pretty good commander.

What in the debris feild is afffecting systems? Did they ever say? Seems like a Mutara Nebula type of scenario setting up.

Act III:

Hoshi has a temperance streak? Huh.

Wait a minute! How the hell are they talking to each other? No UT in prison, right?

Too bad Degra’s story about the war crime was cut short. Sounded interesting.

So…

A feint within a feint within a feint.

OOH! Cool shot of the control for Enterprise after Reed gives that order.

Covor blown! Ooops.

Ripped shirt Quantum beats Xindi primate.

Hoshi did the streak?! Best. Episode. Ever.

Fifty bajillion stars. This deserves an Emmy.

Climax:

(So, will Quantum take the bait to the red giant? Remember hide in plain sight?)
You humans are ruthless! And very good at deception! (good line)
Descisions, descisions…
Xindi have transwarp? That doesn’t seem right? Is that what Tripp just described, or am I missing something?

Another fancy ruse? or a real emergency?
Got the info!

Denoument:

Still playing the game. Have to, to keep the Xindi from moving it.

Seems like they’re getting ready to close this arc down. No Season IV for ENT.

Good enough ep, but I’m full of disappointment, having read Bergama’s mind. Or did they fool me…?

Next week: PANDA!

NCB, a ruse and a reset aren’t the same thing…That said, I will report back in a few hours. Your flu is talking and you flashed one of your boobies at me!
I think I’d better eat something before the fasting hypoglycemia goes to my head.

Oops. Too late.

I also forgot to (re)check the synopsis up at startrek.com, so yes there was some measure of surprise for me in tonight’s episode. Took me about 15 minutes into the episode before I really knew that it was a ruse. Heh, of course, what does that say about my poor brain, that Bermaga could deceive me with their paper-thin plots?! GAH!

NCB, I think it was radiation from the debris field that was causing problems for Enterprise. And yes, Phlox -did- seem to be having fun! I personally couldn’t look at the bloodworm parts, any of them - YUCK! LOL

I so love this cast–all of them are good, and I will be sooo disappointed if they cancel the show! :frowning: Thought that tonight’s show was a good one, although I for one would like to know who told the Xindi that the Humans would destroy their world–if we ever find out (and that’s a big IF at this point, in my book!), I suspect that the real perps are going to turn out to be involved in that stupid Temporal Cold War crap.

Thanks for the chuckle, Vivalostwages; the “ooops too late!” made me think of that Christmas commercial for Petco, where the cat and dog are trying to find out what they’re getting for Christmas and the kitty gets a whiff of catnip!

And might I just add that the previews for next week look most promising – to give Janet Jackson’s breast baring a run for the money! They sure showed -alot- of skin (and even nekkid Trip, Viva!)

I know. The purpose of my little mini rant there was because of the major spoiler that we knew it was a ruse even before it started. Might have been a little more interesting if they had let us in on it only when the story line made it obvious, instead of a whole freakin 4 wks ahead of time.

But, no, we’re not smart enough for that. We have to have it all spelled out for us like 3 yr old Xindi bug larvae. Feh.

[cough, cough]

Yeah, it looks like T’Pol and Tripp get totally nude. Together. Should be interesting.

I think the promo (thank goodness they finally showed one; maybe they got tired of my twice-a-week pissing and moaning via email, phone, and snail mail) is a conglomeration of all the remaining Feb. sweeps episodes. Anyway…Ooh baby! A female MACO gives Trip a swat on the fanny, T’Pol drops her garments in front of him, and Mal appears to be running around in his undies and gunning for Hayes! Reed/Hayes SLASHORAMA and a big fight. Coooooool.

Okay, “Stratagem”: It continues the arc, gives us insights into Degra, and I think we really need to stop reading all these damn spoilers. But we know we won’t.

Gawd, Bak looks so gross with long hair. Truly neanderthal. And the ponytail does nothing for him. He could never play Lucky Jack Aubrey.

Grammar nitpick #1: “It would have been one of the first colonies to have been attacked.”
It’s not necessary to have two perfect tenses in this sentence.
Thus: “It would have been one of the first colonies to be attacked” or just “attacked” without the preceding infinitive verb. They did the same thing back in “Dead Stop” (“It would have been nice to have been asked”). Yeesh.

A memory wipe? Sounds like they’ve been poking around at www.lacunainc.com.

Ah, a reference to an upcoming episode: “Azati Prime.” Some other continuity as well. No Porthos, but I believe he has big scenes coming up soon.

Degra has a conscience. They did some good character development in the limited time they had.

Mal is getting very aggressive. And I think Trip wanted to beat the crap out of Degra.

Grammar nitpick #2: “I’ll try and clear it up.” Dammit to bloody hell, it’s not “try and.” It’s “try to.” “TO” !!! Nobody can try “and” do something. You just try to. Do or do not. There is no try and.

All in all, a good solid ep.

Did anyone else notice the rather lengthy (bad pun intended) ad for Cialis (medicine to combat erectile dysfunction)? Did you know that a boner that lasts for more than four hours REQUIRES IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION?!! Well, did you? Neither did I.

[sheepish grin]: Aes…My brother’s tape came out okay; it was on the VCR with the automatic year setting. But yours did not come out,for I committed the grievous error of putting in 03 instead of 04. I still have 03 on the brain. However, I can fill your tape and put the Sunday rerun on it and send it Monday. 'Kay?

After watching the introductory teaser segment, I just have two words to say. Well, two big words and a bunch of smaller words, anyway. I’ve said them before, but they bear repeating:
Their vented warp plasma fouled up their pursuers’ “INTAKE MANIFOLDS”?!?!!!

What the hell are “intake manifolds” doing on a starship?! What is there in deep space that they can “intake”? Are they Bussard collectors? If so, why does having them clogged instantly cause their engines to fail? Darn it, if the Xindi insectoids built starships that relied on Bussard collectors, they’d at least have some kind of fuel reserves for situations like this!
