Enterprise "The Hatchery" : [Spoilers]

Ah, the second most obvious ploy. So, does his acting improve any? Maybe they should keep it.
Since the Evile Slime makes Archer all Nice-Nice, why don’t the Xindi just dump it on Earth and have all Nice Humans instead of wiping them out?

TNG had the Evil Cockroaches. Cockroaches are insects. So maybe TNG experienced the Second Xindi Invasion {queue eerie music}?
No.
Mrs. Plant kept hoping he would die so that Trip could be Captain.

The slime makes you like baby Xindi. Phlox explains it as ‘reverse imprinting’.

So, as Corner asked, why the hell don’t they just drop a bunch of Xindi Goo on Earth then? It’d be easier than making Xindi Happy Fun Balls.

And more importanly:

Does Hoshi get goo’ed?

Why are you all whispering? It’s a spoiler thread.

I just want to feel like I belong

Oh, okay.

Well here, put on this hat, then.

is that like Evil slime or like A Vile Slime?

Also, will Archer forget to poke holes in the lid of the jar the babies are in?

Speaking of which, did any of the crew threaten the Xindi with magnifying glasses? If they did, that would be the best episode ever.

Especially if they ran some classic commercials. Like the one where all the bugs shout, “RAID!”

It’s a bug hunt, man!
Game over, man, game over!
I say we nuke 'em from orbit, only way to be sure.

This could have been done better; the arguement of leaving children to die had its points.
(Viva, its points or it’s points?)
The change in Archer could have been slower, someone could have agreed that killing babies really sucked.
A confrontation with a Xindi ship where Enterprise saves the babies at great risk and there is a group hug would have been a TOS episode.
A DS9 episode would be where Worf eats them by mistake.

Anyway, I liked the fat little roach babies crawling on Archer.

It’s means* it is* whereas its is possessive.

Huh. I didn’t get to see it. A friend called with an emergency (of sorts), so I went to help her out and fergots to set VCR thingy. Oh well, will see it on rerun Sunday late night. No real time recap, though. That would be silly at that late date.

Joe’s Apartment

You? Silly? Perish the thought.

Has there ever been a mutiny in the history of the Trek universe that WASN’T caused by a virus or psychic manipulation or other scientific gobbledygook? You know, a mutiny simply caused because the captain was being a dumbass?

The crew of the USS Pegasus mutinied under Captain Pressman.

Hit enter too soon.

The crew of the USS Pegasus mutinied under Captain Pressman because they felt Pressman was jeopardizing the ship during its testing of the experimental phase cloaking device.

Ah, yes. One of the classic “wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t take their space suits off” episodes. Shouldn’t they have learned by now? Besides, isn’t whatever the suits put out better than the “stale” air in the ship?

Doubt it. And even if it were, if the crew constantly used the EVA suits then the air in it would be depleted and they’d definitely not be better than the air on the ship, no matter how stale.

Aesiron, you are infiltrating my grammar-correcting territory! I must launch my Super Weapon immediately.

Its = belonging to it

It’s = It is

Thank goodness for short recaps and teasers. But may I complain about the very irritating and intrusive Game Over promos which were run during ENT scenes (not just commercials)? They were quite distracting.

ENT is moving to 9pm Viva Time, in case you didn’t catch the warnings at the bottom of the screen.
Oh, your TV does not report Viva Time? Well, mine does.

A pretty good ep. here, though I think the drama would have been more meaningful and had more of an impact if Archer had not been compromised by neurotoxins. That said, there was some good conflict, tension and dialogue throughout.

Bakula said “autopsy” with the accent on the second syllable instead of the first. Must have been tired or lazy.

I prefer Bak in Black and Trip in Blue…but see my comment below about the undies.

Good: lingering tension between Hayes and Reed. They didn’t kiss and make up yet.

Mayweather gets some screen time for a change. That’s always worthy of mention.

I liked Archer’s grubby uniform and skin. Nice touch showing his breakdown.

I want a Baby Xindi Beanie Bug.

Archer grabbed somebody again. He’s been very grabby lately. He grabbed Trip in “Chosen Realm,” Malcolm in “Proving Ground,” and Phlox in “Harbinger.” And that was when he wasn’t infected with bug juice.

Nice scene when Archer relieves T’Pol; the others are afraid to look him in the eye.

Bak in blue shorts ain’t bad. But he sure has no shame about parading around in front of Trip that way. Even Kirk knew enough to keep his pants on, if not his shirt, when Spock or McCoy came waltzing in. Hey, did ya catch the reference to the Eugenics Wars? Guess they really happened after all.

Blalock should not have been so agitated in the scene in her qtrs. Or maybe Trip just brings it out in her.

Uh oh, Aesiron: Archer snaps at your Hoshi. He SNAPS at your Hoshi!!!

The sight of T’Pol in a cap was absolutely bizarre.

Can’t believe they finally beamed somewhere.

Trip had probably been wanting to shoot Archer for quite a while. A. can be a real motherbugger at times. Get it? Motherbugger. Motherbugger! Motheringbuggeringer.

A promo for next week—Vulcans weep? Or just wildly erratic ones like T’Pol?
