I gave up on Enterprise halfway through its first season. I came back a few months ago, based on the strong reports I’d been reading here of Manny Coto’s reign.

A lame time-travel reset button episode, like Voyager did a hundred times and (presumably, thanks to that whole “temporal cold war” thing I heard about) Enterprise did fifty more.
Surely the TrekDopers don’t agree this was the best episode of the series? I’ve seen much better, just in the past few months.
Can’t say that episode would have been my pick, but I should point out that UPN severely narrowed down the choice of episodes in the poll. There were only two or three representative episodes from each season available to choose from, IIRC.
I avoided it the past five weeks because none of my faves were shown and the fan faves they aired were either just meh to me or an ep I actually loathed.
If you have loads of time, a strong stomache, and a heartfelt desire to slow the boards down with searches, pull up the old Trek Doper threads on those five eps and you’ll see that you aren’t alone in your suppositions.
