Entire cohort of refugees joins SDMB

It’s a salad bowl, not a melting pot.

I was playing EVE Online when someone shut off the servers :smack: They ragged on him no end for that. SO I guess it is better than our Winter of Missed Content.

And they breed like rabbits!

I did not know the shopping channel thread had been started by a coterie of semi-pro snarkers. I must go read it now.

It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, not a five-star restaurant.

I suggested they invite Der Trihs and Shodan for a friendly chat about politics and religion. Y’know, just for funsies.

Yours.
Damnit, Qadgop!

I think OP was suggesting that a mod should have wandered in to toss the salad.

  • Cyclists: noble eco-warriors, or smug speedbumps?

(I was resisting the urge but)

Wasn’t that one actually Richard Petty?

I’m worried they’ll take away jobs from us. Or will they work the jobs none of the rest of us want?

Is someone offering to be Great Debates Moderator?

Be careful what you ask for.

I’m lost. What is this Shopping Channel Forum? Is it anything like Stormfront?

I’m afraid to visit the shopping channel snark thread - I might end up maxing out my credit card on cubic zirconium.

Imagine Stormfront and the mommy boards had a baby, dressed it in clothes from Free Republic, and bought it a TimeCube for Christmas.

Actually, most the new rules posted at the top of the above-linked page don’t seem all that different from some of the rules around here, except for their apparent super-strict no-tolerance policies.

I suggest they don’t get full voting rights for at least 6 months.

Here you’re not allowed to be a jerk, there you can’t be a dick.

The 2 rules that most people are having problems with are:

  1. If a host from one of the shopping channels posts something on their FB page, it is not to be discussed.

  2. Once a host leaves the show, they are not to be discussed at all.

Also, posts can be poofed with no reason given, and several people have been banned for simply “liking” a rule-breaking post.
