I am. Anyone else? I’ve registered on one of the boards splintering off just to reserve my user name, but really, I’m happy here. The new boards at this point sort of feel like the old New Coke controversy in the 1980s. I don’t have time for more than one Board anyway, not even local ones here in Bangkok (which seem to be populated by some very, very odd Westerners anyway).
I probably will, but I must admit I’ve been gone for a while, busy with a new baby, and I feel as though I just stepped back into a party where the host has inexplicibly shit in the punch bowl.
I don’t know if I should step back out for a minute til the mess gets cleaned up, call it a night, or just ignore the turd floating there and carry on as if nothing ever happened.
I will. I’ve registered with both of the splinter boards, but see no reason to pull out completely from the SDMB. I’ve been here for more than 8 years now. I’ve seen eruptions come, and fade away again. For now, I’ll just wait, and see.
Unless this thread turns into a discussion about board policy, MPSIMS is a good home.

I don’t have a dog in the Pit fight. I do worry that the temperment of the board will change, especially with some of the more respected posters leaving, but I think there’s room for more than one board.
I post on the Domebo board. But I keep posting here too. As it is the SDMB isn’t even my favorite board. I post far more on another board.

I thought I’d make an appearance every now and then.
I don’t post often here (or at any other board where I hang out), but I registered at domebo. I really like the layout of that place. I’m still sticking around here, though. This place is comfortable.
I’ve haven’t been saying a whole lot anywhere lately (damn school schedule). I’m on Domebo, but I’m sticking around here too.
I’m planning on staying here (assuming that circumstances don’t interfere with my spending time online in the first place) unless and until the quality and/or quantity of the posts drops to the point where it’s not worth it. Which I really don’t expect to happen.

I know I am just a baby here, but I hadn’t been aware that things had escalated to that level- I read a tiny bit of the pit thing- are so many people turning on tuning in and dropping out?

While there are still posters like Chronos and Stranger on a Train and many others here, I won’t be leaving. But many good posters have registered at domebo and GiraffeBoards, so wherever there’s quality, I’ll be reading.
I’ll stay, though I’ll probably check out the splinter boards every now and then, mainly because a lot of folks I like are posting there. As I see it, this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. Some more stupid rules in a world of stupid rules, eh, I’ve learned to deal with that; I just don’t see much of a need to get all up in arms because of the principles of the whole thing. I’ll wait to see if posting here remains fun.
