Apparently so. When I first opened it, there was like 56 pictures. I think there’s 10 less now. Sorry if that made it a false alarm.
She’s got cheap nosejob nose. I’ve seen it all too often in southern CA.
I just watched the episode and. . . holy shit. That woman was a special kind of crazed.
In a weird way I really, really want to go to that restaurant.
I was thinking, while I was watching the show, that maybe this wasn’t intended to be the finale when they shot it. But after wards the producers talked amongst themselves saying, “Holy Shit! We have to save one for the finale. Nothing can top that.”
They made Gordon Ramsay seem like a sweet guy.
That server who got fired—Katie?—poor thing.
It is. From what I can tell, people have tracked down the original source of almost every image on their Facebook page.
Oh, and she admitted that the baked goods at Amy’s Baking Company are purchased from stores and re-sold at her restaurant. That’s right, they don’t even do their own baking there. When asked why they told Ramsey that the cake he enjoyed was baked in-house, she said that he was British and he wouldn’t understand.
The newest post on Facebook claims that their page has been hacked (I suppose it’s possible), but never fear. They are “working with the local authorities as well as the FBI computer crimes unit to ensure this does not happen again.”

They’re still open?!? C’est simplement encroyable!
Almost all the restaurants featured on Ramsay’s show close within a year, though, even the ones that look like they’ve been fixed.
Well, two things;
1> It’s Arizona.
2. They keep mentioning God.
So you just know they’d be able to keep up some client base no matter what they do.
That two-part video actually gave me physical pain. When the one customer complained about waiting over an hour for a pizza, then overheard Amy in the kitchen making fun of him, then Samy told him to pay for his drinks and get the fuck out and threatened to call the police and pushed him? Then Amy called him a pansy as they were walking away? Oh my effin God.
Ho-lee shit, that was some fucked up tv.
What I don’t get is how someone can say “I am gifted in all culinary areas.” and then serve frozen and pre-made junk. Sure, I’m gifted in all culinary areas too, if by gifted you mean can tear shrinkwrap off stuff.
I would have liked to see her do a few Hell’s Kitchen style challenges for everyone to observe.
I was doing a Google search for this restaurant as I was watching that episode. I was surprised that they still have the “Sweet & Spicy Pasta Rustica” on the menu that Ramsay hated so much. Most places change their menus after appearing on Kitchen Nightmares but this one doesn’t seem to have. And many of the restaurants even mention their television appearance on their websites. These guys don’t.
By the way, the coverage from the Phoenix New Times of the restaurant’s appearance on the show is interesting. This article from before the episode was filmed says that the people dining when Ramsay was there aren’t just random customers, but people who sent in emails volunteering to eat there that night. And the people who waited over an hour for their pizza and were then told to get the fuck out? The owners still demanded that the customers pay for the drinks they did get, although the TV producers offered to cover the tab.
I know that, but I never saw one with owners as batshit whacko as those two! I’d’ve thought they closed their doors long before the episode aired.
Cook’s Source magazine’s Facebook page posted something like “we know how it feels to be hacked” with a picture of these people.
THAT’S who I’d want on my side…
I just streamed the episode from the local network that carries it. Phew! Both Samy and Amy are crazy, but Amy is a special kind of crazy. She makes the Gordon Ramsay of “Hell’s Kitchen” look like a nice boss.
It seems obvious to me that Samy has (or had) tons of money to sink into a losing proposition for some period of time. He probably just hasn’t run out yet.
Amazingly, even with as god awful as that show was, they were promoting the hell out of it on their facebook page. Of course, now that we know it was hacked, I’m sure it wasn’t them.
Skim the recent five star reviews on their Yelp page. Some of them are hilarious.
Holy crap, “special kind of crazy” doesn’t even begin to cover it.
I just watched it from the Buzzfeed link, and …well, there are no words. Amy is in deep, deep denial about what’s really wrong with her restaurant, and her husband doesn’t help by not telling her when customers send food back.
She refused to believe that they’d been through 50 servers in a year, yet Samy confirmed it was more like 100. Keeping her out of the loop is just so wrong.
I felt so bad for Katie, the girl who got fired. I couldn’t figure out why she was crying, but maybe it was relief. That place had to be a giant hellhole of stress.
Did Samy ever give a reason why the waitresses, or rather, food runners couldn’t use the POS system? Was it distrust or what?
