ER and DR Romano

Been working evening shift. Someone please tell me how Romano died…

A large flaming helicopter fell on him.

Its not as intresting as it sounds

That is too weird–like the evil helicopter taking off his arm wasn’t enough! I would have loved to have seen that episode. Did they try to save him? OR was he DOA? Why did the helicopter blow up to begin with?

Ok Long version: There was a helicopter Evac of some rich imortant somebody. He forgot his watch,a dn romano went to the roof to give it back to him. HE had a flashback about losing his arm, and ran gave teh watch (in an evenlope) to some one else to hand to him. He was to afriad to go near the damn thing. He runs down stairs and out side to get some fresh air. in the process Fires Pratt and catches moron Dr.(the blonde haired guy who’s just stupid and should be shot and who’s name escapes me) smoking weed he stole off a patiant. Meanwhile on his elevator trip down, the helicopter hit some nasty wind and crashed on the roof. as the one armed Surgon heads away from the Dr. Canibus (whom he’d ordered inside and not to move till he got back) was directly under the path of the helicopter which had since rolled off the roof and exploded.

Theres a thread about it. It was teh last ER before thanksgiving. They go in to more detail there

Now a follow-up question:

What was the deal with this? Did the producers just decide to have him written out of the script, or was McCrane looking to get out of the role?

I think they had a Fame reunion moive…

Well crap… I thought this was just for discussing what a prick Romano is/isn’t. Could have really done with a spoiler warning in the title, as Romano is alive and well here.
