New text update, giving some hints about what Date-a-mancy does. Between this and the last text update that mentioned hippiemancy and Loyalty, we’re beginning to get a clearer picture of what hippiemancy does.
Which makes me suspect we’ll soon see Janis more actively involved in the storyline…
Is there any chance that Parson might be bound to her, as the caster who brought him to Erfworld, or does the fact that Stanley’s Schmuckers paid for the spell force Parson to have Duty to Stanley? Or is Parson bound only to Gobwin Knob?
If Wanda joins up with Jillian, I’m worried about Jack. . .
But those are Stanley’s dwagons her decrypted troops are riding. Is that going to be a problem?
My housemate and I were considering that this very morning. However, in 1:32, Stanley orders Parson to “Shut up!” and in 1:33, we see that he is indeed bound to the order. That makes me think that Parson is bound to Gobwin Knob, rather than Wanda specifically.
I’m pretty sure that, back when Parson was Chief Warlord, we also saw him issuing orders to Wanda. As (technically) a warlord herself (as all casters are), she can also act on her own initiative, but she’s still subject to orders.
If Wanda is, in fact correct. Or telling the truth.
This just raises so many more questions. Has Wanda actually tried to contemplate the idea of aligning herself against Stanley? What becomes of an Arkentool if its attuned wielder is croaked? Could, for instance, Charlie be croaked, and then Decrypted, and retain his attunement to the Arkendish?
Were Wanda to turn the Arkenpliers on a living subject, would there be any effect (I can’t believe it hasn’t occurred to her to try this)? As the only Arkentool wielder who is a caster (as far as we know at this point, anyway), Wanda is in a unique position wrt the Magic Kingdom. What would be the effect of Wanda bringing the Arkenpliers through a portal?
I can see I’m gonna have to save up to become a Tool over there.
ETA: P.S. Every time this site gets updated, I am just getting so much more into the story.
