I’m only posting to point out what a lovely adjective “barmy” is. And Eric Cantona sure is barmy, no doubt about that. What would we do without the occasional weirdo footballer? Every generation needs them, but I have the impression they are a dying breed.
As a Leeds United fan I’ll be forever grateful for that 91-92 season and it was clear that he was out of his tree even then but as a a player he was hugely influential. You’d imagine that he’d be an individualistic player but her really did bring out the best in those around him, he was pivotal in the true sense of the word.
