ESPN has been playing music going to commericals on their bowl games and in previews for the games. I think the song is called “Carol of Bells”. Can anybody confirm this? Does anybody know who performs the version ESPN plays? It sounds like there is an electric guitar.

I don’t know the ESPN spots to which you refer. However, I do know that a very rock sounding version of Carol of the Bells is quite popular this time of year. It is performed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It is allegedly Metallica providing the rock edge to this particular tune.
