I have totally reformatted my harddrive and have installed windows XP. What I see is a blank Windows desktop. I have called my internet provider to try and connect to the internet. They were unable to help saying that my computer does not see my ethernet connection. I am on DSL.
What happened? I have not touched any of the hardware. Is this a driver issue? How do I know which driver to download?
You probably need a driver for your ethernet card. XP doesent have them all.
They should be on a cd that came with your comp.

usually theres a autoplay meny when you insert the cd
should say something like “install nic” or “install ethernet”
