Ethernet Driver

Just installed a legal copy of XP Home on a friend’s computer (long story). Ethernet connector is part of motherboard. I’m not at his house now. Would the driver be on the motherboard CD, nothing on the XP disk.

Can’t get on internet without the Ethernet being recognized.

Any ideas. We’re trying to get on Alice (Telecom) over here in Italy.

Thanks.

Yes, the e-net drivers should be on the CD that came with the motherboard. If you can’t find that CD, you ought to be able to visit the motherboard manufacturer’s website and download any and all current drivers for it. Failing that, the chipset manufacturer’s site should have them, as well.

Thanks, fell free to close thread.
