Eugenie Clark has died

I’m not exactly sure if this is Café Society material, but Eugenie Clark, the well known shark researcher has died of lung cancer at the age of 92.

I first learned of her as a kid from TV specials. Eventually I too became a marine biologist and even had the opportunity to meet her once. Nice lady and a great researcher.

My gosh, I remember reading a book about the “Shark Lady” when I was a kid.

RIP

I did a book report on her in fourth grade.

RIP. :frowning:

A bit late to the thread, but had to post. I had vhs tapes of some of her specials and used to watch them all the time as a kid.

RIP :frowning:

Oh man, I really liked her expertise and dedication in some older shows I saw on sharks years ago. I can still picture her perfectly as she made quite an impression on me. She seemed like a very fine person and, Latimera, a worthy role model. Thanks for sharing this news.

I wonder if the National Geographic channel will run a Sharknado marathon in her honor?
