Considering that Smoky still plays to full stadiums in Germany it would seem to me that those continental johnnies have eccentric tastes.

Yeah, I think casdave’s on the right track. I haven’t been to Germany for a couple of years but last time I visited, it looked to me like they were, musically, somewhere in the late 70’s - early 80’s. Mullet madness. Seriously, it’s a different world – one in which car doors are built with amazing mechanical precision and so is the music.
I’ve never heard of this lot and, looking at the photo’s, I rather hope I never will.
I’ve heard of them, but I’m not sure where. They’re not big in Ireland.
Mind you, they’re probably no worse than a lot of the bands that are (Westlife, etc).
I think I saw them on Eurotrash once. They worry me. The last good European musical import was Tony Ferrino, obviously.
