Hey guys! My husband is wanting to get a beer bottle for his collection and it’s not available in my area of the US. I’m not even sure if the beer is still being crafted. The brewery is Brewdog, and the bottle he wants is Tactical Nuclear Penguin. Just the empty bottle…we can’t afford to buy a full one even if we can find it. It’s a 32% beer and at the time of it’s brewing it was the highest alcohol beer ever made. Then another brewery beat it. Then Brewdog made Sink the Bismark, which is 55%. Probably undrinkable, but we aren’t after the beer.
Does anyone know if Tactical Nuclear Penguin is still on the market? Anyone have an empty bottle in their recycle bin? Am I on a wild penguin chase? If someone finds one (or a Sink the Bismark bottle), I’ll pay for shipping to the US. Thanks!
Yeah… that was my feeling too. Maybe the solution is to buy one at the next UK Dopefest and have 10 people each drink one shot. Since it’s 32% ABV, that should have about the same effect as a pint of, you know, actual beer.
I did a quick search on eBay, but it doesn’t look as though anyone is selling the bottles. Maybe no one has ever bought this beer!
When they first brewed it, it was the strongest beer in the world. They got one-upped, then one-upped the one-uppers. (That’s my understanding from the page on their website - maybe I’m just buying in to the hype .)
Our problem is with the cost as well. I was hoping maybe someone had an empty laying around. I don’t even think the bottle itself is all that cool looking. But hubby wants what he wants.
