Out of curiosity Haberdash, what is your solution the problems you claim to identify? If you were to accurately reveal it (an end to Muslim immigration, perhaps?), I think we would all learn a lot more about your underlying motives.

Habby, I find it interesting that you’d quote the article but miss out on tiny details like

So no, Virginia, that does not sound anything like the 40s *or *the Tulsa riot.

Since these reports are regarding a conflict between Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs, what does it have to do with this thread on a conflict between French Jews and French Arabs?

If this were a thread about some Baptist preachers from Alabama making anti-Semitic comments would you link to a story about some Lebanese Christians having their home blown up by Israeli bombers?

If not, why?

We’ve been over this rutted road back during the teen riots of 2005 and 2006. The issue has nothing to do with the teachings of Islam. It has everything to do with the treatment of immigrant Muslims to France.

The youth riots, then, occurred mostly among non-practicing children of Muslim parents and were routinely condemned in the mosques at that time. However, with the treatment of immigrant youth, (who are overwhelmingly Muslim), extraordinarily high rates of unemployment, and similar problems, the immigrant youth are more easily led into crime and violence. There is an increase in propaganda from ISIS sources, (but only in the last several months), that invoke Islam as a rallying point and promote antisemitism, but the youth have shown no evidence of actually becoming more devoutly Muslim.

Among Muslims, second generation immigrants and people who have lived in France for years consistently poll as more devoutly Muslim, but also more supportive of France and less tolerant of violence than people of European stock whose families have been French for centuries.

Blaming Islam runs counter to the facts.

My grandparents were 1st generation immigrants during the great depression. They assimilate into American culture during a time of great economic strife. This is not happening in France. And that is the problem. It’s not open for debate.

My grandparents were 1st generation immigrants during the great depression. They assimilate into American culture during a time of great economic strife. This is not happening in France. And that is the problem. It’s not open for debate.

Did they happen to be white and some description of Christian, by any chance ? :rolleyes:

I have been led to believe that the “Promised Land” as set out in the Old Testament was the true “Jewish Homeland” therefore Jews everywhere are automatically citizen of “Israel” and therefore whether one resides in France, Germany or the USA they have a personal stake in this issue.

Now, please answer my questions because your post came dangerously close to being anti-Semitic because you seemed to linking a conflict involving French Jews and French Muslims to a conflict between Israeli Jews and Palestinian Muslims.

This sort of passive aggressive thing isn’t helpful. If you are accusing me of supporting violence against Jews (utter nonsense), that is a serious accusation and you should make it.

Your post said that what the Jews were suffering in France was not as bad as what the Israelis were doing in Israel. That sort of comparison of different peoples doing different things is pointless. Nothing passive aggressive about it. Your post was just dumb.
