It’s the first night of Eurovision. In the USA, you can stream on Peacock.
So far, I liked Poland and didn’t like Slovenia

All of us here in Luxembourg are very excited about our chances with “The Doll Raises Her Voice.” It’s a great song and we consider the field pretty weak. We’re expecting a top ten finish at worst.
I wish the Ukrainian entry was a bit stronger but I’m fine with getting a lot of votes
FYI, looks like rest of world can vote this year for €0.99
Semifinals Night Two was a much stronger set of contenders compared to Night One, I thought.
I especially enjoyed Latvia’s song. A bit atypical for Eurovision but very cool.
And Austria simply melted my face off. What a crazy big swing, and they nailed it. Definitely a major contender this year.
Armenia, however, just made me laugh. Hypermasculine rock posturing that tipped over into ridiculous absurdity. I’m amazed he made it through. Totally goofy in the wrong way.
I’m voting Finland
Kinda funny this year had two separate odes to orgasms.
My gut says this is between Sweden and Austria.
Expected Austria to do well. Did not expect this kind of love for that Swiss song.
The culmination of Eurovision’s gradual shift from subtext to text.
Ouch, zero points for the U.K.
Congrats to Austria. They took a huge gamble on an unconventional entry and it paid off.
And a VERY surprising second place for Israel. Which is probably the best possible result for the country, because nobody, least of all Israel, wants Israel to host next year.
Yeah, I can’t imagine the shit storm that would erupt from an Israel win. I’d be thinking of alerting local police forces in some areas had that happened.
I tried watching it but there was just too much strobing in every single set, even the songs where there was no strobe warnings had strobes
Time for “Mein Schönes Pferd”?
