One suggestion on relieving the load on the server. Delete all old threads (say anything over a month) that have less than 5 or 3 or whatever responses. You might wind up deleting a couple of useful threads but you would get rid of a lot of drek.
Hell I asked about Krispy’s wife. I really hope I didn’t offend him by asking it there, but then, other people have asked in the past and he’s shared information by himself as well.

This one may end up causing problems. For example, I know folks were peeved with a certain poster during the elections who tended to start a whole bunch of threads. If this rule had been in effect, it would have been easy for any one or group of other posters to prevent her from starting any other thread merely by continuing to post at a prior one. And while, I’m sure, there would have been some who wouldn’t see that as a problem, it doesn’t seem fair. realistically, many of her threads generated interesting discussions, others fell flat. so, it was kinda self regulating, in that respect.
as far as the OP/discussion, I know I haven’t ‘done’ a post party, may have posted in one once, don’t really do flirting stuff here, but doesn’t bother me when folks do. I also don’t get into the flame wars, either (gee, what the hell do I do here?).
But I"m all for things that help the server maintain.
