I can ditto dropzone’s statement that a hiatus is swell.
I’ve been gone for three weeks, that was a short period after I was gone for 2 1/2 weeks, and I don’t think anyone noticed at all.

Scotticher. Threatening the owners/administrators of the board doesn’t exactly sound like a good strategy. All of your anger ain’t gonna get it reversed, even if you hold your breath.

I wasn’t aware that I had in any way threatened to hold my breath until they did the right thing, but now that you bring it up I see that it wouldn’t be a very good strategy. Therefore, I will not ever threaten to hold my breath in order to get what I want. This shouldn’t be a problem, as I have never in my life done this sort of thing.
I WILL however, continue to say what I think. And what I think is that trying to hide an unpopular (because it is WRONG, IMHO) administrative decision in a forum that most people are going to miss is…WRONG.
So, we have A] An administrator who broke the rules of the board and B] An administrative decision that was wrong.
You don’t like my assessment of the situation? Fine. You have the right to disagree with me.
For your information, I DID take it to email. Apparently ignored, or disagreed with. THAT is their right, also.

For the record, I doubt that I have ever posted anything to Scotticher. I just find her insistance on continuing a debate in this forumn to be out of place. IMHO.
I have no clue what the current fuss regarding Euty is all about other than the assumption that it probably grew out of the emotional tempest a few weeks ago surrounding Persephone’s run in CPS and the sore feelings all around that situation created. But I could be wrong.
With all due respect dropzone we are allowed the privilege of posting here for free by the good graces of Ed Zotti and the Chicago Reader and their willingness to cut a check big enough to cover the cost of maintaining this message board. Handling delicate and unpleasant administrative issues is tough enough without people accusing you of being a disingenuous weasel.
I think the less gas on the fire at this point re this situation with Euty the better.

I’ll agree with you about the gas, astro. I just don’t like euphemisms like “hiatus,” though I do recommend a person taking one now and then and believe that Pat would benefit from one. Also, if Cheri is mad about this like she is I will support her. She is the slowest person to anger I know.
Plus I thought the whole sequence of events that shall not be mentioned was handled poorly, like most events that have anything to do with mods here, then got swept under the table when it started getting messy. I suppose it’s what you get when you have geeks and know-it-alls running a loony bin full of geeks and know-it-alls. Management skills are lacking here, but the help’s free. (shrug)
