Are you a bajillionaire yet or what?

Just curious.

I dunno; it’s too early to tell yet. Some bookstores have it on the shelf, others still haven’t unpacked it—and we’ve yet to see how it’s moving. I’m hoping the NY Times review will help, and other reviews should be coming out in the next month.
I spent about $3000 on research; mostly books and photo rights. So I’ll have to sell at least 1500 books before breaking even!
Just got my next book proposal off in the mail . . .
Just so you know, Eve, I’m planning on getting both your biographies for my brother’s birthday. He loves biographies and spent some time as the Arts writer for the Amarillo paper. (Thank God he’s moved to Pasadena since then)
I don’t know if you want to share your new book proposal with us or not, Eve, but I’ve noticed a disturbing trend:
Your first victim, er, subject, Jean Harlow, I knew of and had seen one of her movies (Dinner at Eight – which I thoroughly enjoyed, BTW). Second subject, Theda Bara, I had heard of, knew she was a “vamp”, but little else. Third, Anna Held, I’d never even heard of.
You seem to be moving deeper into the past and deeper into obscurity. My suggestion is something a little more modern. Let’s see, the Brady Bunch probably has little left to explore, so Florence Henderson is out – how about Barbara Eden?
Actually, I’m currently reading (and enjoying) Platinum Girl and have Vamp on deck. Will get to Anna Held soon. Thanks and keep churning them out, Eve.
Well, for my next book, Pluto, I am actually making someone up, so NO ONE will have heard of her!
Wow, you are reading all three of my books? That has to qualify you for some kind of award, or at least a hearty kiss on the smacker.
