Eve Says "Hi"

Eve has asked me to let everyone know that she will be away from work for about a week (consequently, no internet access). She is suffering from a serious strep infection.

Um, Ok.

Hi Eve. Get Well Soon. Remember, the Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup is the best (IMHO).

Unless Eve doesn’t see this until after she’s back, in which case…

Hi Eve. Welcome back. Glad to hear you’re feeling better.

[sub] I never know how to react to these threads. Maybe I should just back out slowly.[/sub]

Gargle with salt water.

Rest a lot.

I’ll second the chicken soup.

Hope you feel better soon!

Yuck. I’m sorry she’s sick. I’ll send her good vibes even though she’ll probably be all better by the time she reads this.

I have been told to mix honey(so it tastes good), garlic(it works like an antibiotic), and cayenne pepper(it cleans the blood). Swallow just the amount that fits on the end of a spoon every 15 minutes until the white spots on the back of the thoat disappear. (Sorry, don’t know about the amounts to mix :frowning: )

Of course, unless someone can tell Eve this, then it is probably pointless.

Hope this helps. And hope she is back on her feet soon.

Cartooniversesnaps on Nitrile gloves with a satisfying >>thwack<<.

Adjusts goggles.

Reaches for stainless steel crowbar eagerly…now then, let us just SEE what’s going ON in there !!!

Eve, welcome back, we missed you.

Good well soon, Eve!

Get well soon, Eve! Have plenty of rest, honey-lemon garlic tea (yes, there is such a thing… my mom makes it at times), hot chicken soup… in short, do whatever you can to get better slowly!

A person…could develop a cold!

Well, you’re classier than Adelaide, but just as lovable.

Hope you feel better soon, Eve.

Please forward on to Eve this tea [sub]with honey, lemon and a shot of brandy[/sub] along with my prayers for health and loads of postive healing thoughts and wishes…and some probably unnecessary advice [sub]once a ScottiMom ALWAYS a ScottiMom[/sub]

Sleep like a fiend, take your antibiotics on time, chloroseptic works pretty well to numb your sore throat and… never forget…

We’ll be here waiting when you wend your way back, sweetie!

Much Love,

Cheri

“Hi” back at her, wish her a speedy recovery, and tell her to make a splashy announcement when she returns so we won’t miss it.

Yeah, I hear that. I’m still at work, of course, (grrrr) but my wife and I picked up the Flu over Easter … from her stinkin’ family.

She hasn’t gotten off the couch in two days and my stomach is going “Airborne”, but somebody’s goptta make the dough.

Hope we feel better together soon.:frowning:

Oooh, yuck. Eve is sick.

Tea, soup and lots of old movies. Lots of them.

Except don’t do what I did: Sunset Boulevard, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Glass Menagerie, A Place in the Sun, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? and D.O.A. on one day while I had the flu. God, was I ever depressed that evening.

Mix 'em up a little bit: An American in Paris helped a lot.

Lipton Giggle Noodle Soup with baby pastini!

Stars and Hearts and moons and little, itty, bitty tiny stars. Probably not quite classy enough for the Lady, but I’m sending 'em anyway. (If they can get me through the Death Flu, they might dent this icky bug.)
