Lola, I didn’t even know she has perfume to be honest with you. One day I was walking through Bloomingdales, and the most wonderful spell of honeysuckles and lilac hit me. It’s not overpowering either. I love- love- love it.
Not exactly; One time I put on a lot of Coolwater before I went to the gym. Midway through my intense, manly, workout I noticed that it had a bad, odoriphic, reaction with my sweat. I stunk and had to slink home…
A friend of mine would moisten her finger with a perfume/cologne and touch it to her tongue. If it tasted nasty, she wouldn’t buy or use it. If it didn’t taste bad, it would work OK for her. Presumably it’s a way to check a fragrance’s compatability with one’s body chemistry.
Some kind of novelty perfume that I came across in the store called “Halloween.” It was purple. It smelled pretty good, a bit odd, but good. A bought a cheap spritzer bottle, and they filled it up for me as a “sample.” Took it home, still smelled ok.
A week or so later, I got sick - which for me, strangely enough, means my sense of smell gets more accurate. I tried out the perfume -
it was pumpkin. They nearly talked me into buying a $40 bottle of pumpkin scented perfume.
I am addicted to Angel (Thierry Mugler). But when I first tried it, I did not like it. I was told to use it a few days because of some chemistry thing. Then I liked it and others noticed and said it smells good on me. I try something else now and then, but must have Angel.
