Or a Rolls-Royce or a McClaren or any other six-digit car? I know there aren’t many fantastically wealthy dopers, but surely some of you have snuck in a test drive or something. Was it worth it?
As for me: I’ve been in a Lincoln Towncar limo a couple of times (prom & whatnot), but that’s about it.
I drove a Ferrari Testarossa once, on a racetrack. It was in full race trim (not even roadgoing), and belonged to a friend of my father. My official TAG Heuer measured top speed down the straight was…
286 kilometers per hour. I’ll leave it to y’all to convert that into miles. But I’ll tell you one thing: that’s friggin’ FAST!
I’ve ridden in lots of cool cars - my granddad is a chauffeur for rich and famous people (He’s 76 and still works full time) and he often gets to look after the cars overnight. He drives a lot of Daimlers for some reason. When i was little my nan and I would ride in the back and we would wave like the queen and pretend we were famous.
But i know very little about cars, since i am eco-queen and don’t drive. That, and I failed my test 5 times.
I drove a Delorean once in the snow and ice in Sun River. I was wierd because you are laying way back and the stick is way up high on your right almost at eye-level.
i saw a yellow lamborghini countach on my way to the bank a few weeks ago, i thought it was ugly, although i would still have liked to drive it fot a wee bit.
What most people don’t know is that Leawood, KS, right between Mission Hills, KS and Overland Park, KS, is the second richest city per capita in America. The only city with a higher per capita income is Beverly Hills, CA. If you want to see SCHWEET cars, drive to the Kansas City area (where Leawood is located) and catch a map to Leawood. You’ll see Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, you name it, you’ll park beside it at Abercrombie.
