Whenever there’s a news article or a segment runs on TV about obesity, the producers helpfully provide us an image of a obese person. It’s usually their posterior, but can be otherwise (see here for an example). Have any of you ever recognized your or someone you know’s derriere in one of these segments?
No, but I’ve often wondered if those people know they are being filmed, and if they do, what the film is for.
I secretly live in fear of this happening. So far, I’ve been lucky.
Not yet. I also haven’t seen myself in the Glamour “Don’t” pages, but it’s just a matter of time, I’m sure.
I’m pretty sure that I saw a coworker’s big butt in a local story on obesity filmed at our mall but I never asked him about it. No matter how I phrased it, it was going to come out as an insult.
I saw my pert ass in a documentary once. I was getting off a ferry. Didn’t realise I was being filmed, and saw the documentary two or three years after the occurance. Quite freaked me at the time.
