Everclear & Matchbox 20

If you never see another concert, by all means, make it Matchbox 20 and Everclear! They rocked the Key Arena in Seattle tonight, and I was lucky enough to be in attendance.

Unfortunately, Everclear’s set was only an hour, so they played just a spattering of songs from their five albums. I was really surprised when they pulled one out from their virtually unheard of first album. But happily, they ended their set with Santa Monica.

Matchbox 20 just rocked the place!! I haven’t heard that many songs from their second album, just what’s been on the radio . . . but damn, what a great bunch of songs. I especially loved the two Rob Thomas played piano for, Rest Stop and Stop (ironic). They also played an old Charlie Rich number and Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper for the encore. They were definitely an upbeat stage presence. And that Rob Thomas . . . it was quite generous of him to wear such tight hip huggers and a muscle caressing black shirt for us ladies in the crowd.

I know the tour is winding down, but if you have the chance, I highly recommend this concert!! One of the best concerts I’ve been to, and a metric crapload of fun!!

Now if only my sinus infection shared my hearty happiness . . . and let me keep my voice tomorrow.:frowning:

Sorry about all the smilies, but I am one very happy girl right now. :stuck_out_tongue:
