I did a search and couldn’t find any posts about this (which I found surprising) and wanted to know if anyone out there was using Evernote.

I’ve been finding it to be a pretty amazing tool for my writing and sorting and remembering things. I even got the iPod touch application for it so I could access my stuff from just about anywhere.

This neat little application Will keep snapshots from the web or allow you to drag and drop text and even reads the text within photographs and makes your photos searchable via the text inside the photo! You can take a snapshot of a whiteboard and it will translate the handwriting into text and store it locally and online on your account so you can access it via Laptop, PDA, or iphone.

There are other great things that it will do, but I don’t need to be their publicist, and really I just wanted to see if any Dopers were using it and how they were making the most of it.

I’ve started using it, too. I haven’t been using it long enough to form a strong opinion, but so far I’m impressed. I use it on my iPhone, and to me the tight integration with the phone is a huge bonus, since I can access my information anywhere.

The OCR capabilities are surprisingly good, too.
