I’m currently wearing one of my most comfortable shirts. I have 3 just like it, but different colors. Never mind. Anyway, it’s a light, high fiber count, cotton polo. Now, if it’s layed down for even just a couple of minutes, it gets nasty creases where it folded. I can either throw it in the dryer with a damp washrag or iron it to clear it up pretty quickly. But it’s anoying, and I’m at work with two light creases in the stomach area. My question is: is there any kind of washing treatment or anything else I can do to keep it from wrinkling so easy like that or am I just going to have to get used to it? I don’t notice it as much on my other two shirts just like it, but I think it’s because this one is white and maybe shows wrinkles more. Please help.
Downy Ultra Care is supposed to keep wrinkles down. It is actually somewhat effective, I’ve found. Give it a try.
wring wanders in , expecting a thread about aging, realizes it’s about clothes and those medival torture devices known as irons, quickly ducks under her wrinkled, yet beguiling cloak and moves on to greener pastures…
Thanks Lissa. Is Downy Ultra Care washer stuff or dryer stuff?
It’s washer stuff. You put it in the little Downy Ball, and toss it on top of the laundry after filling the washer. The spinning action causes it to open during the rinse cycle. When you buy the Downy, there should be a coupon on the neck of the bottle for a free Downy Ball, but if not, they’re only about three bucks. You can’t use the old Downy Balls with Downy Ultra, though, because Downy Ultra is of a thicker consistancy. You need to get a new one. (Or at least that’s what the bottle said. Could be a shamelss marketing ploy to sell more Downy Ultra Balls, for all I know.)
