I’ve seen this misspelling of Gandhi a few times, and it bothers me. I don’t understand why you’d like to think of yourself as an evil Gandhi, but if you’re going to use his name, at least you could spell it correctly. Unless you have some deliberate reason for it that escapes me.
Since when do usernames have to be spelt correctly?

I actually misspelled the name first when I used it as a handle on irc almost a decade ago. The reason I gave then was “it was out of respect for such a great man that I would not dream to use his actual name in any sort of description of myself”. Either that or I was hosed out of my braincells on malt liquor at the time and didn’t notice the fuck up. Either way people knew me by it so I stuck with it.
So, oh Dave that claims to be great, is that explanation enough for you?
The one thing that truly perplexes me, I have made many pit-able remarks, yet this is the first time anyone has actually bothered to drag me down here.
Some of us noticed, but nobody cared until now. I figured your explanation was gonna be something like that anyway, so why ask?
Actually Airman, I’ve been asked a couple of times, both here and on irc. My explanation has pretty much remained the same, though sometimes I substitute “horse tranqs and Jack Daniels” for “malt liquor”.
At any rate, I doubt that anyone really cares, including the op.
I suspect there is a correlation between your mis-spelling of Gandhi’s name and your knowledge of his ideas.

But Gandhi, Ghandi, however you spell his name is an evil bastard. In my CIV III game he just backstabbed me and started an unprovoked nuclear war with me while the both of us were fighting off the Chinese.
