EVT systems, mind blowing

One of the researchers at a local University of mine has stumbled on something spectacular, which I had to share with you all.

Basically it’s a psychological technique allowing you into the inner sanctum of your mind and being able to manipulate the entire environment around you.

Now I usually call bullshit on these, however I gave the lecturer the benefit of the doubt, and within a few weeks I was able to go in and out of an environment in my mind in which I could do anything I want.

Ok enough of me talking, this explains in greater detail.

Jesus, Ryan, this sounds an awful lot like viral marketing to me. So, he showed you how to do wakeful lucid dreaming? Is that what you’re telling us? Withing a few weeks? I saw the prices on the site - a few weeks worth of sessions must have cost thousands and thousands of £/$/whatever. Did you really do this? And if so, and it’s so exciting, why are you just linking the site and not starting an “Ask the wakeful lucid dreamer” thread or somesuce?

I’m skeptical and suspicious.

I alerted the mods earlier to review the thread. They may be closing it shortly. That would be my gut reaction.

Think of Vanilla sky, and that’s what it is.

They did this psychological test (in labratory conditions) at Manchester University, which is one of the top Universities in the UK, and I know the person myself. You’ve seen my posts, I’m the most rabid rightwinger out there, so it takes alot to convince me.

And because of this training (I didn’t pay for these sessions) I’m able to be in New York. Let’s just leave it at that. I’m not here to convince, do that yourself, but what I’ve experienced is unlike anything which I can comprehend sometimes.

Why did you do that? I’m not here selling some crappy new age rubbish, I’m just sharing mindless pointless stuff which someone might of been interested in.

Let the mods decide, I only posted to let Winston know that if he is suspicious it is better to alert the mods.

I won’t debate or challenge you on your post. I can be dead wrong that this is against board rules, in which case I will eat crow and your thread might prosper.

Jim

I’m going to email you and explain myself.

Vanilla Sky, eh? Didn’t they fuck up his medulla oblongata in that movie, and trap him in a nightmare? Anyways, I was thinking it sounded more like Total Recall and the accidentally labotomize that guy.

Or the Matrix.

I like that their logo is an upside down anarchy symbol. I also liked this part:

“One thing is certain though; the dream environment in which you find yourself will be indistinguishable from ordinary waking reality and it is this quality, coupled with the absolute freedom provided by being awake and aware (yet still dreaming) that can provide you with incredible experiences.”

Isn’t that the plot of the movie Freejack?

Nonetheless, I’ve read the EVT web site teaser, and it sounds fascinating. I experimented with lucid dreaming for a while. Dabbled in some Eastern Mysticism. If this is the real deal, and they can help induce a wakeful lucid dream state, I’d say it’s the equivalent of the holy grail, or cold fusion. The potential, though, might not be evident to those who have never experience lucid dreaming or other altered states of consciousness. Unfortunately, that accounts for the vast majority out there.

Well yeah it’s like the Matrix, however you’re trained to associate this technique with a pleasant environment, as the the things you experience will be regarded as ‘real’ memories.

All it takes is training training training, I’m not sure to the percentage of people who’d be able to do it, however it’s not a gradual process, it took me weeks just to visualise and ‘experience’ my surroundings, and training in able to hold that, and manipulate.

You’d be surprised as to how relaxation comes into account of all this.

I thought more people would be interested in being able to manipulate reality around them, guess not?

I think we’re very interested. I don’t think anyone would think a credible, long term poster like yourself is shill for anything. The only hesitancy is that, so far, it’s being described in fairly vague terms, and is focusing on the outcome. We’re probably more interested in the process at this stage. Could you describe the nuts and bolds of the “how to” technique in more detail?

Well basically you have to first put your trust into the person who’s training you, be completely relaxed, calm, you’d be surprised how many times it took me to relax and realise I was still holding back.

Then what basically happens is you’re helped to visualise a place, surroundings, step by step, usually takes a few weeks, and concerntrate on holding that image in your mind, then once that’s been accomplished, you can proceed to the next step, such as manipulating the environment around you. It really is a matter of training yourself not to be ‘surprised’ which would awake you to normal reality. There are no holds barred, and what you experience will be interpreted as a ‘real’ memory.

It’s pretty amazing, for one, I’m still bewildered as to how my mind can generate such huge quantities of information (such as the texture of buildings, people walking past, the weather, the colour, to taste food) and allow me to do whatever I want in there. Sometimes I just go in there and feel the texture of walls.
