One of th best things about these message boards - which Ive visited for a long time is the great, knowledgable mathematicians (yep, I’m hoping sucking up will work.)
Currently in my Further Maths classes I’m having to cover a simulation project, using Excel. We’re only expected to go to a two server simulation (by generating random number to create arrival intervals (and thus times) and service times (and thus start/end of services)) - but a three server simulation should be possible… but what do I have to type for the formula to get it to work?
Below is a link to a pic of the spreadsheet, showing the formula used for the start of service for the second server. The third server’s start of service forumla should be similar, but obviously loinger, but I can’t quite work out the whole thing to put in… every time I’ve attempoted this it hasn’t worked.
Anyone able to help?
